What is corners betting in soccer?

Some American sports betting sites. like, BetMGM or Caesars, will allow gamblers to make what is known as a “prop bet’’ by wagering on which side will take the most corner kicks over the course of the match. With this bet it doesn’t matter which team wins or even if the match is a draw.

The bet is simply which team takes the most corner kicks. There could be handicaps on it as well.

For instance, the line in an EPL match between Manchester United and Chelsea:

• Chelsea -2 corners
• Manchester United +2 corners

That would mean if you bet Chelsea, they would have to take at least three more corner kicks than Manchester United for you to win.

If you bet Manchester United, they would have to take more corners, the same amount, or just one less than Chelsea for you to win (two corners would be a push).

You can also bet on the total number of corner kicks the two teams will combine for throughout the match.
