  • August 18, 2022:  Gov. Laura Kelly announces that Kansas would begin allowing bets on Sept. 1 at four state-owned casinos. Sports betting will officially open fully, mobile and in-person, on Sept. 8.
  • August 15, 2022: The Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission approves regulations for Kansas sports betting, setting the stage for a launch prior to the start of the NFL season.
  • July 1, 2022: Online sports betting is officially legal in the state although there are not yet any licensed operators.
  • May 12, 2022: Governor Laura Kelly signs SB 84 into law.
  • April 29, 2022:  The Kansas Legislative Chamber passes SB 84 moving to legalize online sports betting in the state.
