Arizona Opens Applications for New Sports Betting Licenses

The Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) has announced a new window for accepting event wagering applications. From July 8 to 19, applicants can submit their paperwork for a chance to obtain a sports betting license in the state.
At least one license will be reserved for Arizona tribes and another for Arizona sports teams. All completed applications must be submitted by 5pm local time on July 19. The ADG will then evaluate all submissions based on its criteria.
Currently, Arizona has 17 active sports betting licenses, with eight tied to sports franchises and nine to tribes.
