What is win to nil in betting?

Author: Devin Erickson-Sheehy | Last Updated: November 1, 2022

A win-to-nil bet is a soccer betting term. In this type of wager, you are betting not only on a team to win the match outright but to do without conceding a goal. This bet usually includes the regulation 90 minutes of play plus stoppage, but excludes extra time or penalty shootouts (if applicable).

For example, if you wager on Liverpool to win to nil against Leicester City, you win your bet if Liverpool wins the match while holding Leicester City off the scoreboard (i.e, 1-0, 2-0)

This is an intriguing bet because sportsbooks offer considerably better odds when backing a moneyline favorite. For example, if Liverpool was -200 to win the game, you might find their win to nil odds at +150, giving you a much better value return on a $100 wager.
