UEFA Euro 2020 Group E preview: betting odds say Spain walk the group

Author: americangambler | Last Updated: April 30, 2021

Is this the EURO 2020 year Spain gets back to the dominant team it was a decade ago, or will it be another year of disappointment?

Spain won back to back UEFA European Championships in 2008 and 2012, with a 2010 World Cup title as well, to put itself in the conversation as the greatest team ever.

In the Euro 2020 tournament, this Spanish side is a heavy favorite to win Group E, and have big odds to win on Matchday-1 against a decent Sweden team. Both Sweden and Poland, who will face off on Matchday-3, will think they can move into the Round of 16.

Here is a look at the opening game odds in Group E, with the odds to win the group and to be one of the 16 teams to advance into the knockout stages.

Euro 2020 Group E Predictions

Spain is going to win the group, and there is very little value taking any team here to qualify outside of Slovakia, which probably won’t. Sweden might be the play here to qualify, especially if the odds change after the first match.
