Amanda Ribas vs. Paige VanZant Prediction: Ribas via submission
The Oregon native is at huge odds of +550 (6.50) to beat rising Brazilian star Amanda Ribas, who has won each of her UFC fights since joining the promotion in June las year, including a unanimous-decision victory over Mackenzie Dern.
Although both 26 years of age, Ribas and VanZant are far apart in where their UFC stock lies despite the latter’s submission win over Rachael Ostovich in her last appearance. Ribas doesn’t look worth much investment as the -800 (1.13) favorite, but there’s value to be had in method of victory betting.
VanZant has never been knocked out in her career but has tapped in two of her four career losses and is +200 (3.00) to be submitted Saturday—or +450 (5.50) to suffer her first KO defeat, according to William Hill NJ. Ribas has nine career victories to her name all even split by decision, knockout and submission, showing she’s got the range to take the fight anywhere.
