Just like Tuesday’s Match Day 6 games, there are some pivotal UEFA Champions League contests Wednesday that could see some big name teams get the boot to the Europa League. Bet with free bets promo with William Hill USA.

Group B, specifically, is still an absolute mess: any team can advance, or any team can be knocked out.

The Group A match is for second place, while the other three games are to determine who wins the group and/or who advances.

So here we go!

Group A Predictions

  • Red Bull Salzburg (+190) vs. Atlético Madrid (+132), draw (+265); Atlético won 3-2 MD 2
  • Wednesday, Dec. 9, 3 p.m. EST (CBS All Access, TUDNXTRA, and

Jesse Marsch can shock the world.

The American-born head coach of Salzburg saw his team get some results go against them in the first four games, but then had everything go its way on Match Day 5.

Now, Salzburg hosts Atlético Madrid, knowing a win moves the Austrian side into the Round-of-16 draw. It was 3-2 last time, with a late Joao Felix goal the decider. Can Marsch and the energy drinks reverse the result?

Prediction: All the pressure is on Madrid, but they only need a draw. I would actually take a shot here with Salzburg.

Group B Predictions

  • Inter (-315) vs. Shakhtar Donetsk (+750), draw; Teams drew 0-0 MD 2
  • Real Madrid (-134) vs. Borussia Monchengladbach (+390), draw (+260); Teams drew 2-2 MD 2
  • Wednesday, Dec. 9, 3 p.m. EST (CBS All Access, TUDNXTRA, and

Inter HAS to win to even have a chance to move on; the other three teams can get it done with a draw, depending on other results. Every time you count Shakhtar and Inter out, they come up with a massive win.

Monchengladbach has been the best team all group, and it would be a shame if they get knocked into Europa League.

Prediction: History would say that Inter and Real Madrid get it done at home. I have a feeling, though, that there could be a surprise; the most likely would be Monchengladbach to get a draw or win in a high-scoring game.

Group D Predictions

  • Ajax (+125) vs. Atalanta (+185), draw (+290); Teams drew 2-2 MD 2
  • Wednesday, Dec. 9, 12:55 p.m. EST (CBS All Access, TUDNXTRA, and

This is another tough match to call. Ajax is at home, but Atalanta has the one-point advantage, and just needs a draw. Ajax was in this same position last season, and lost at home to Valencia to exit the competition.

Prediction: Atalanta finds a way; pick +120.
