New York Yankees vs. Washington Nationals Predictions & Free Bets
Predictions & Plays: New York Yankees at Washington Nationals, 7:08 p.m. EDT (ESPN)
One play I do like is for either Aaron Judge or Giancarlo Stanton to hit a home run, which is -110. After watching Judge hit two monster blasts, and Stanton hit a tape measure shot, last Sunday (plus this one from Tuesday after there were already three outs recorded), this wager could be one of the better ones on the night. For a long shot play, you can get both to homer for +860. If you are playing the first one, you might as well take a shot that both will do it at that price.
New York Yankees – Washington Nationals Prop Bets
- Judge or Stanton to homer (-110)
- Judge and Stanton to homer (+860)
Preview
MLB – New York Yankees – Washington Nationals: The last time Gerrit Cole took the hill at Nationals Park, he showed just how dominant he is, with a seven inning, nine strikeout win in Game 5 of the 2019 World Series.
Cole had given the Houston Astros a 3-2 lead, heading back to Minute Maid Park for what looked to be their second World Series title in three years.
But Max Scherzer and the Washington Nationals had other plans, and it was the Nats that took Game 6 and Game 7 on the road to win their first franchise title.
Thursday night, with the eyes of the nation on them, Cole and Scherzer will take the mound for Major League Baseball’s Opening Night. For Cole, though, it will be for the New York Yankees, who gave him $324 million to deliver the franchise its first title in over a decade.
Yankees at Nationals Predictions
As of 1:30 p.m. EDT, the line on the game was Yankees -140 ML, -1.5 run line +120, with the over 7.5 runs set at -115. The under 7.5 runs is -105, with the Nationals +120 on the ML and -140 on the +1.5 run line.
One of the cooler promotions PointsBet has right now, for all regular season games in the month of July, is MLB Make It Rain. If you place a minimum $50 pre-game money line or run line bet, you get an extra $10 in free bets for each home run your team you bet on hits.
For the Yankees, who set the Major League record with 267 in 2018 then hit 306 home runs last season, one less than the new record holder Minnesota Twins, this might be the perfect play if you are jumping on New York tonight.
PointsBet also has a Yankees Crowd Booster wager for tonight: for every 100 bets PointsBet takes, the price will increase in your favor.
