The FanDuel sportsbook will be a two-story structure that will feature six betting windows, 67 high-definition televisions, one ticker, a VIP area and 44 betting kiosks from IGT.
Detroit is a town known for its love of sports and one that likes to gamble. The Motor City rates as the No. 6 casino gambling market in the USA. The Ilitch family, who own MLB’s Detroit Tigers and the NHL Detroit Red Wings also are owners of Motor City Casino.
Michigan is among five states to be home to a sportsbook operated under the FanDuel brand. FanDuel launched May 1st in Colorado, where online betting is already operational. Michigan bettors can probably count on many similar offers coming their way to what’s on tap for Colorado bettors.
In Colorado, the FanDuel Sportsbook is available for download via iOS and Android for residents and visitors. They’re also offering a daily free to play game called The ANYTHINGBOOK, where customers can test their sports and pop culture knowledge for the opportunity to win daily cash prizes. Each day, a new question is posted and correct answers are rewarded with $5 in site credit.
FanDuel was the first sportsbook in the USA to offer live streaming of sporting events inside a betting app, as well as the first to offer Single Game Parlays. That gives players the ability to build a parlay utilizing betting markets from the same game.
At FanDuel, they also offer a $500 risk free bet as a welcome bonus to new customers. Place your first real money wager of any type using your sportsbook account. If the bet is a winner, good for you. If not, then FanDuel will refund the lost wager up to a maximum of $500 to your account within 72 hours.
By the way, you can also bet on horse races in Michigan. Check these racing apps.
