Colts vs. Jaguars Prediction
With Jacoby Brissett under center from day one last season, the Indianapolis Colts started their 2019 campaign 5-2 in the AFC South.
Then the wheels came off the wagon. Six losses from its next seven games saw Indianapolis go from division leaders to also-rans pretty quickly, although the Colts did go into Week 17 with a slim chance at an AFC playoff berth.
But a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Colts’ opponent opening weekend of the 2020 season, ended that dream pretty quickly. They then watched the team that beat them out for the final wild card spot, the Tennessee Titans, make it all the way to the AFC Championship game.
Philip Rivers left California for Indiana, and will lead the Colts this season. How much does he have left in the tank?
Indianapolis Outlook
The Colts offense, which was not bad last season (seventh in the NFL in rushing) will get a boost from Rivers. He threw for 4600+ yards last season with 23 TDs, but has to cut down on the turnovers: he threw 20 picks last season with the Chargers.
The better offensive line in Indianapolis should help him.
Jacksonville Outlook
There are not many people who think that this team can do much this season. The Jaguars are the favorite with PointsBet to have the most losses this season at +250, with Carolina the next closest odds at +600. Jacksonville is also one of two teams to have odds on going winless in 2020 (+2500), along with Washington (+5000).
