FantasyDraft LLC – based in Charlotte, North Carolina – launched rake free daily fantasy site FantasyDraft.com in late 2014, and hosted its first paid-for games on December 7 that year – tempting players with a $400,000 prize pool on its opening weekend. Anyone of the age of majority in their US home states (or provinces in Canada) can play FantasyDraft (via app or desktop) – EXCEPT those residents of Arizona, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Louisiana, Montana, Nevada and Washington State, where no one can legally play these  Daily Fantasy NFL, MLB, MLS and other sports games.

How to sign up

• Register on the fantasydraft.com – click the link, create a username and password, list your state or province … and confirm you are not a robot.
• Deposit money – using your credit card or PayPal account. NB – you do not have to do this straightaway. As with other sites, you can play for free at FantasyDraft (and it’s a good idea for newcomers to get to grips with the DFS site and the games).

FantasyDraft Contests and Lineups

• Guaranteed Fantasydraft Prize Pools (GPP) – aka Tournaments that run the length of a competition or season – with prizes, often of cash, for players whose fantasy teams finish higher in the league, according to the prize purse. The player who finishes at the top of the table wins the most money, with the sums declining the further down the field. Usually those in the top 15 percent or so will win some money.
• 50/50 – In a 50/50 league, participants who finish in the top half of their ‘league’ win cash prizes. Those who finish in the bottom half win nothing.
