Last June in Baku, Azerbaijan, two London teams met halfway around the world from their home stadiums for a European trophy.

Chelsea ended up blitzing Arsenal 4-1 in the UEFA Europa League Final, to win its third piece of European silverware of the decade.

This Saturday (August 1 2020), the two teams won’t have to travel nearly as far, as they make the trip across town to Wembley Stadium for the 139th F.A. Cup Final.

Chelsea comes in on a high, after finishing fourth in the Premier League standings with a 2-0 win over Wolverhampton. The victory Sunday guaranteed the Blues another season of UEFA Champions League action. Chelsea is barely in the 2019-20 edition, but are down 3-0 heading to Germany to face tournament favorites Bayern Munich in the second leg of their Round-of-16 contest.

Arsenal will have to win the F.A. Cup to make it back into Europe. The Gunners finished eighth in the Premier League table, and were stunned in the 119th minute of their second leg Round-of-32 tie with Olymmpiakos.

On that alone, I would give Arsenal the edge. But sentiment doesn’t win games.

Chelsea has won two of the last three (including the Europa Final), with the other a draw. Both teams have scored in six of the last eight head to head, while five of six have been over 2.5 goals, including both this season (2-1 Chelsea 12/29/19 and 2-2 1/21/20).

Chelsea is -150 to lift the cup, while the Gunners are +120.

I will take Chelsea on the money line (+115), the over 2.5 goals (-118), both teams to score (-134) and also Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to score (+110) for Arsenal.
