Yankees v Rays July 15 Prediction

The Rays begin their four game series against AL West leader, the New York Yankees, on Monday evening looking to make up the deficit in the division title race. The Rays are currently 6.5 games off the Yankees with a series against the Orioles still to play.

The Florida Franchise got off to a rocky start with a series loss to the Astros, however, they have recovered brilliantly, taking advantage of the Red Sox poor form to establish a strong lead over the World Series champions and putting themselves in wild card and division title contention.

Despite their positive record, their past series with the Yankees is cause to worry for Rays fans, getting swept in a three games series in June. Much has changed since then for Tampa, however the Yankees are still as strong a side as they were June and single minded in their pursuit for a 28th World Series this season.
