UFC: Russian Ramazan Emeev to Back Up Oddsmaker Predictions with Zawada Win

David Zawada (+210) vs. Ramazan Emeev (-260) – Odds by William Hill USA.

An all-European affair will pit Russia’s Ramazan Emeev against Polish powerhouse David Zawada in what could be an early candidate for Fight of the Night honors.

David Zawada vs. Ramazan Emeev Predictions

Emeev (19-4)—a former two-time M-1 Global middleweight champion—has lost only one of his five fights since joining the UFC in October 2017, all of which have gone to a decision. By contrast, Zawada has lost two of his three fights in the UFC and gone the distance in only two of his last eight bouts, presenting a major contrast in fight style.

Emeev’s result-focused approach has paid dividends thus far, giving little reason why he’d alter his usual course of attempting to convince the judges here. ‘Gorets’ does’t offer a great deal of value at -260 on the moneyline at William Hill, though the story is quite different for his +100 odds to win by decision.

Zawada—who last fought in November 2019—has clinched each of his last two wins via submission, but any ground advantage is lost against a Sambo and wrestling expert like Emeev, who has seven submission wins on his own record. That leaves the German with little option but to chase a result via striking, the kind of straightforward struggle in which Emeev has tended to take control until now.

Prediction: Emeev via decision (+100)
