UFC Fight Night 148 Prediction: Martin Day vs. Anderson dos Santos

Odds: Martin Day (-189) vs. Anderson dos Santos (+155)

Bantamweights Anderson dos Santos and Martin Day enter UFC Fight Night 184 having lost their first two fights with the promotion, but one will walk away with their maiden victory on Saturday night.

Redemption is the aim for Day (8-4) after he was caught cold by Davey Grant, who collected just the second knockout win of his career facing “The Spartan” at UFC 251 in July. Day’s conditioning looked good in his return to the octagon after almost two years away, but not good enough to avoid his second loss in as many fixtures as a UFC fighter.

The story is almost identical for Dos Santos (20-8), who makes his own return after over a year between fights, his last being a unanimous-decision defeat to Andre Ewell in June 2019.

BetMGM offers $500 free bet promo for CO/IN/NJ/TN customers and has the Sao Paulo, Brazil, native down as +155 moneyline underdog, while Day comes in at -189 to pick up his first win since August 2018.

Dos Santos boasts the same 70-inch reach despite being five inches shorter than The Spartan. This contest is particularly difficult to predict given both fighters are well-rounded standing or on the ground, but Dos Santos has a lot more experience to suggest he’s over-priced.
