Netherlands vs. England June 6 Prediction

One year after the nation of England was brought to its collective feet, football truly might be coming home Sunday.

After the hosts Portugal play Switzerland Wednesday night in the first semifinal, the tournament favorites England will take the pitch Thursday night in Guimaraes for its chance to get to the UEFA Nations League Final. The Three Lions will take on a resurgent Netherlands side filled with young talent.

This England team has brought the national spirit back to the team, which has long suffered. But a run to the 2018 FIFA World Cup semifinal, where it lost to Croatia in a game that could have gone either way (and many think the Three Lions would have won if Harry Kane squared a ball to Raheem Sterling).

So this new tournament would prove to be a nice piece of silverware for the Three Lions, who would then head into EURO 2020 qualifying on a high, and would have to be considered one of the two favorites with World champion France to win the EURO 2020 tournament.

The money line on this match is pretty close, with England (+146) a slight favorite over the Netherlands (+180). Both teams have key players that played Saturday in the UEFA Champions League Final. On the draw no bet line, England is -137 to win, with Netherlands +100.

England is the favorite to score first at -106 (Netherlands +119).

In the individual player markets, Harry Kane is the favorite to score anytime at +130. But watching him in the Champions League final, there might be better bets. Raheem Sterling is +200 after his Premier League Player of the Year campaign.
