Tyson Fury Clear Front-Runner to Beat Deontay Wilder in Rumored December Trilogy Fight
Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder Prediction
Deontay Wilder must stop the winds of change blowing against him if he’s to beat Tyson Fury in their trilogy matchup, with a third, decisive meeting rumoured to be in the books for December 19.
That’s the date Fury will look to rubber-stamp his mark as one of the modern greats of heavyweight boxing and advance an unbeaten career record that’s already seen him accumulate 30 wins.
Plans to stage a conclusive third meeting between the pair was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, but Fury remains a -358 favorite at Borgata to get the better of Wilder a second time should they collide again. The “Gypsy King” saw out a controversial draw the first time they met in December 2018 but later clinched his revenge with a deserved seventh-round TKO in the February rematch.
The heavyweight duo are at long odds of +2500 FoxBet betting odds to finish level a second time while Wilder sits as the +275 underdog, odds the 34-year-old is unaccustomed to after racking up a dominant 42-1-1 pro record.
A possible matchup opposite fellow Briton Anthony Joshua is reportedly on the cards for Fury should another date with Wilder fail to materialise. The current WBC and The Ring heavyweight champion recently told BT Sport he’d be happy to face Joshua in an all-British affair, telling his would-be opponent to “grow a pair” amid rumors of a possible clash:
"If Wilder doesn't happen, let's do Joshua in December. Why not?"

It seems all too likely Wilder will get his chance to win back the WBC crown, however, and boxing fans would be overjoyed to see that fixture take place before the end of the year.
Many would agree the “Bronze Bomber” deserved to lose their first meeting—when it was only a late knock-down of Fury that saved him on some questionable judges’ scorecards—before he looked severely outclassed in the reunion.
Gypsy King Fury isn’t liable to have lost so much nous in the interim that it would drastically change the result in another rematch, and his superior fight IQ should take him to a repeat finish.
