Ovince Saint Preux vs. Alonzo Menifield Prediction & Betting Preview
UFC Fight Odds & Predictions: Ovince Saint Preux (+115) vs. Alonzo Menifield (-135)
A return to the light heavyweight division could be just what the doctor ordered for Ovince Saint Preux on Saturday when he takes on one of the division’s rising forces in Alonzo Menifield.
A little more than two years have passed since Menifield, 32, made his debut in the UFC, while Saint Preux (24-14) has been one of the most active fighters in the promotion at this end of the scales, winning 12 of his 21 UFC bouts since he had his first fight under their banner in 2013.
“OSP” is the +115 underdog with William Hill for New Jersey customers, but that price looks flattering against an opponent who’s had only 10 professional fights and was dominated on the cards by Devin Clark last time he fought.
Menifield is a constant knockout threat if he can catch a break, but it’s been almost four years since Saint Preux suffered the only knockout of his UFC career—against Jimi Manuwa—and he has the wisdom to avoid the killer blow in his light heavyweight comeback.
OSP is one of the division’s elder statesmen at 37, but that may only improve the chances he looks to use his experience to convince the judges, listed at +400 to win via decision with William Hill.
