By comparison, Oklahoma State isn’t vastly worse. They’ve lost two games – including a grisly 7-33 loss to South Alabama in September – but they’ve won each of their last four. That win streak includes a 39-32 victory over Kansas, the team that toppled the rival Sooners last weekend. The Cowboys have covered the spread in each of their four recent victories, most recently in their emphatic 45-13 win over Cincinnati last week.

The Cowboys’ defense, which ranks 108th with 409.2 yards allowed per game, doesn’t loom as a difficult obstacle. The better question is whether the Cowboys’ offense keeps up well enough to put the point total in question.
At 61.5, bettors will hit on the over if both teams score just over 30 points each. The Sooners have done so in six games this season, including each of their last four. The Cowboys’ points per game has trended sharply upward recently, scoring 39, 48, and 45 points in their last three wins after failing to eclipse 30 at any earlier point in the season. The Over is only 5-4-1 in these team’s last 10 meetings, but it feels like a solid bet in the 2023 rendition of Bedlam.
