Head-to-Head: Green Bay Packers vs New York Giants
The Packers enter Week 14 on a three-game win streak and in control of the 7th playoff bid in the NFC if the season were to end as is. They followed a 29-22 win over the division-leading Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving with a 27-19 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. Through their last three games, the Packers offense ranks fifth in yards per game (385.3) and ninth in points per game (26.3). In that same stretch, quarterback Jordan Love has thrown for 857 yards and 8 touchdowns without an interception.
Disclaimer
The Giants also enter the week on a hot streak, relatively speaking, coming off their first consecutive wins of the season after beating the New England Patriots 10-7. Unfortunately, there’s little else positive to say about them – the offense, on its third starting quarterback in Tommy DeVito, ranks last in the league in yards per game (258.7), second-to-last in points (13.2), and has reached 20 points exactly once in their last ten games.
Their defense – tallying three interceptions in each game – was chiefly responsible for their past two wins. Whether that’s more a testament to the Giants’ defense or the states of the Commanders’ and Patriots’ offenses is debatable, and it belies that the unit still ranks near the bottom of the league in yards and points allowed. In terms of yards, the Giants’ 442.3 allowed per game over their last three ranks last in the league and over 100 yards beyond the league average.
When these teams last met, in 2022, the Giants won 27-22 in Lambeau after trailing for the first three quarters of the game. Their last meeting at MetLife came in 2019, when the Packers won 31-13.

Green Bay Packers vs New York Giants Predictions
One of the nuggets you’ll hear regarding this game regards the Packers’ history of performance in December. It’s a hard trend to gauge the value of, but suffice to say they’re good – the last time the Packers lost in December was in Week 17 of the 2018 season. They’re 15-0 over four seasons in December since.
It’s hard to imagine that trend breaks in this game. There’s a chance the game stays low-scoring enough that the Giants’ defense can carry the day, and we don’t have a long enough track record from Jordan Love to rule out him reverting into a pumpkin after a nice string of games, but neither possibility rules out the Packers winning regardless. The injury status of Christian Watson – who’s played a leading role in the Packers’ receiving corps over recent weeks – will bear watching after he left last Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury.
If Watson proves unable to suit up, it’ll only draw more bettors to the Under. The total is low, but the Giants have successfully passed under several lower bars. Don’t expect a fireworks show on Monday either way.
Prediction: Under 37.5
