ESPN BET – a pending sportsbook operated by Penn Entertainment and sponsored by ESPN – is expected to officially launch this November. While the exact date has yet to be determined, the expectation is that the launch will be official before Thanksgiving.

The new offering from a major sports media player should change the current landscape of sports betting apps with an immediate entry into roughly a dozen states.

ESPN BET the Latest

While the welcome bonuses for ESPN BET have yet to be officially advertised, there’s a building expectation that they’ll offer one of the best betting promos on the market. The deal between ESPN and Penn Entertainment totals $2 billion over 10 years, and comes with an opt-out clause after three years should ESPN Bet fail to crack around a 10 percent market share. Both ESPN and Penn will want the app to quickly pull bettors from the other online sportsbooks dominating the market – and for that, they’ll need the best promotion available.

When Will We See ESPN BET?

Aside from ‘mid-November’, we still don’t know exactly when ESPN Bet will launch.

Few markets on ESPN BET figure to see more action on Day 1 than then NFL – which will still be in the thick of the 2023 regular season in November.

Thanksgiving falls on November 23rd this year, and the three NFL games from the holiday will open Week 12 of the NFL season. If ESPN BET remains on schedule, that means they’ll be live at some point around Week 11. The ESPN Monday Night Football broadcast that week will feature a Super Bowl rematch between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs – which ESPN Bet would certainly love to market.

Expect ESPN BET to rank among the top NFL betting apps.
