For the second time in four years, the Denver Nuggets are back in the NBA Western Conference Finals. After their loss to the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA bubble back in 2020, the team is determined to perform better this time around.

In order to progress further, the Nuggets must again once again go through against the Lakers.

LA entered as a #7 seed but has quickly showcased why they are such a dangerous team by dispatching the Memphis Grizzlies and defending champion Golden State Warriors.

How to Bet on the Western Conference Finals

When sizing up NBA playoff odds, it’s important to look at the teams’ recent performances and any injuries that might keep players on the bench. Once the series gets underway, how each team performs in a game can impact the next outcome.

Consider the following factors

Against the spread (ATS) records and recent trends
Head-to-head records between the two teams in recent seasons
Home/away splits (do teams fare better in their own building?)

NBA Conference Finals Trends

Round 3 of the NBA Playoff Semifinals are the Conference Finals. After taking their semifinal competitions, each conference’s (Western and Eastern) top two teams battle it out in this best-of-seven round.

Home-court advantage remains in effect during this phase of the tournament. Evidence suggests that home-court advantage plays an essential role in the Conference Semifinals, with 80% of teams with home-court advantage succeeding, however, that number is reduced in the Conference Finals (closer to 50% in recent seasons).

Curiously, for the NBA Finals, the percentage then increases once more. Statistically, the team with a home-court advantage will win 80% of the games.
