2020 NASCAR Cup Series Predictions: Denny Hamlin Primed for Play-Off Statement at South Point 400?
The 2020 NASCAR Cup Series opens its round of 12 with the South Point 400 on Sunday when the field returns to Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Kevin Harvick closed the round of 16 with his ninth win of the season—not to mention his fifth in nine outings—and took the upper hand after clinching pole position ahead of Sunday’s showcase, per The Athletic’s Jordan Bianchi:

2020 NASCAR Cup Series Betting Preview
Harvick is the man to beat and a +500 odds leader to win the South Point 400 with Borgata bonus offer, available to customers in New Jersey and other legal betting states. He’s won two of the three play-off races held thus far, but it’s second-place Denny Hamlin who stands out as the more profitable pick for Sunday.
It’s an exciting time to be Hamlin, who recently announced plans for a new NASCAR team in partnership with NBA icon Michael Jordan, with Bubba Wallace set to return as a team driver:

Hamlin—a slight underdog at +800—has won two of the past four races held at 1.5-mile tracks and holds up well over that distance, even if Las Vegas hasn’t been his most accommodating venue in the past. The Florida native has two top-five finishes there in 17 attempts, but Hamlin is considered among the top bracket of NASCAR brass for a reason, and there’s nothing to say he can’t break the cycle in an already haywire 2020 calendar.
It’s also very relevant he’s has won on four occasions this year using the exact package he’ll put to the test Sunday. Hamlin has finished outside the top 10 in his last three races; the only other time he endured such a run came in July when he ended the drought with a victory at the Super Start Batteries 400.
Prediction: Denny Hamlin to win (+800)
