Messi—who has two fewer goals than Suarez despite making two more league appearances this season—has won the past four top-scorer awards in La Liga, as well as holding the record for Pichichi wins (seven).
Nonetheless, Atletico have been the team to beat in Spain this season, sitting 10 pints clear at the summit with a game in hand, while Barcelona have struggled at times under Ronald Koeman.
