Latest Stanley Cup Final Betting Odds: Will Bruins leave St. Louis feeling blue?
Stanley Cup Final, starts Monday, May 27 with Game one in Boston 8 p.m.
Boston Bruins vs. St. Louis Blues (NBC, NBC Sports, and Fubo.tv)
After a stunning 5-1 victory Tuesday night to close out the NHL Western Conference Final, the St. Louis Blues are heading to their first Stanley Cup Final since 1970.
It has been a long 49-year wait for fans in the Gateway City, and ironically, the Blues will see the same team they did the last time they reached this stage: the Boston Bruins.
While it took St. Louis six games to dispatch the San Jose Sharks, Boston swept through the Carolina Hurricanes in four games, to get some much-needed rest at this tie of year.
The Bruins will have 10 days off before the first game Monday night, but with the grind of the season, the team that has the most rest in the playoffs usually does well. The only issue for Boston may be if net minder Tuukka Rask cools off, after an absolutely stunning Eastern Conference Final. Rask was 4-0, allowing just five total goals (1.25 GAA) and a .956 save percentage.
If the goaltender can keep that up throughout the final, it may be another short series, and Boston may have its first Stanley Cup since 2011, and its seventh overall.
For St. Louis, that 1970 final was its third in a row, but the Blues have been left blue every time. Will 2019 be different?
On 888 Sport NJ, the Bruins are the series favorite right now at -155, with St. Louis +130 to lift its first Stanley Cup.
Game one odds have the Bruins listed as -150 money line favorites, and +193 on the -1.5 puck line. St. Louis is +125 on the money line and -235 on the +1.5 puck line. The total goal line is set at five, with the over -122 and the under +100.
