Is it legal to bet at FanDuel sportsbook in Connecticut?

Connecticut residents are free to use FanDuel, a daily fantasy sports (DFS) website and sportsbook that offers legal fantasy wagering services across an array of sports.

Available in many other states besides Connecticut, FanDuel is a DFS site that’s considered to be skill-based rather than a game of luck and is thus legal. Online sports betting is still prohibited in Connecticut, although the state is fast progressing in its laws and could adopt legislature to legalize the service as early as 2019 or 2020.

However, Connecticut is also one of only two states with explicit laws against offshore sports gambling, which remains a no-go area.
