Is it legal to bet at Betfair sportsbook in Arkansas?
Betfair owns the world’s largest branch of online sportsbook companies, but residents in the gaming-progressive state of Arkansas face a wait until they’ll be eligible to use the site or its app.
The only states in which Betfair is currently available are Nevada, Delaware and New Jersey (via TVG).
Arkansas has made fast progress on gaming laws since late 2018 and is in the process of passing legislation that would expand betting opportunities in the state. The Arkansas Racing Commission was put in charge of governing gambling within the state, which includes casino facilities at two (soon to be four) racetrack sites.
Horse-racing is heavily favored in Arkansas, and Betfair’s focus on the sport makes it a prime candidate to become one of the first major sportsbook regulated within its limits. Daily fantasy sports sites such as FanDuel and DraftKings are available in the state, however.
Betfair has a sportsbook app and a separate app for their Exchange, each available via the App Store or Google Play. You can check out their bonuses page for daily updates across a variety of sports and other markets.
