What to Know: The Colts, with a healthy Andrew Luck at quarterback, returned to the playoffs as a wild-card team and knocked off the Houston Texans in the opening round. First-year head coach Frank Reich seemed to get the team back on track after a 4-12 campaign in 2017. Having Luck back at quarterback, after he was hurt for two years, was also a key to the team’s success.
Best Players: Luck was becoming one of the best quarterbacks in the league before he got hurt. It wasn’t certain he would ever play again, but he came back last year and looked very good. Wide receiver T.Y. Hilton is Luck’s go-to-receiver. Hilton is very consistent and far and away the Colts top weapon. What also keyed the Colts turn-around was a very good offensive line led by rookie guard Quentin Nelson.
How to Bet: Last year was the year to bet the Colts, because they surprised most of the experts. This year the lines won’t be as generous so take a close look every week. One tip on the Colts, 10 of their 16 games last season went over in the over/under bets. This year that should be the case again.
