How to read odds -0.75 in soccer betting? What does it mean?

Author: American Gambler Staff | Last Updated: August 28, 2023

An example of a -.75 or -3/4 goal Asian handicap on betting apps came from a Premier League match in March between Leicester City and Bournemouth. On the 1×2 money line, that looked like this:

  • Leicester City (-120)
  • Bournemouth (+333)
  • Draw (+275).

At -0.75 goals, a wager of $100 on Leicester City would mean you are placing $50 on a goal spread of -0.5 and another $50 on a spread of -1.

If Leicester City wins the match by more than two goals, your entire bet is graded as a winner. If they will by exactly one goal, half of your wager is graded as a win and the other half as a push ($50 stake returned). In this example, if Leicester lost or drew, your entire bet would lose.

Betting sites commonly allow you to make these types of soccer bets, providing added flexibility for bettors.
