How are NBA total scores for betting calculated?
To get the final score for the purpose of determining NBA totals wagers, add together the total points for both teams.
For example, if the Golden State Warriors finish the game with 116 points and the Milwaukee Bucks finish with 109 points, then the total points scored in the game is 225.
This same method holds true when determining the final score on a first-half wager.
For example, if the Golden State Warriors finish the first half with 60 points and the Milwaukee Bucks finished the first half with 55 points, then the total points scored in the first half is 115.
One caveat to determining the total score in a completed NBA basketball game is the possibility of overtime.
If an NBA basketball game goes overtime, then you must also calculate the additional points scored and add it to the final second-half, or individual team’s total score.
