What to Know: The Texans have quietly become a very consistent winning team, yet one that has not done well in the playoffs. Last season Houston won the division for the third time in the past four years, but lost at home in the playoffs to the Indianapolis Colts. In a division that has gotten very competitive the Texans will try to make it four titles in five years.
Best Players: Quarterback Deshaun Watson is developing into quite a player. Watson has a strong, accurate arm and can also beat defenses by running with the ball. He is the key to the team’s offense. Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is Watson’s favorite target and one of the top wide receivers in the league.
How to Bet: Houston, for the most part, plays close games. Eleven of the Texans’ 16 games last season were decided by a touchdown, or less and came down to a final possession. So with that in mind bet against Houston if they are a big (double digit) favorite, but take them when they are getting points.
