My three favorite picks for The Open are Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, and Will Zalatoris. It’s been a while since McIlory has won a major, but he’s been playing much better so far this year. I think it’s only a matter of time before he wins another. There’s a reason he’s the favorite.
Zalatoris can’t seem to get over the hump. I will definitely bet him to finish in the Top 5. And Scheffler has been playing terrific golf all year. He was close again in the US Open, so I can see him competing on Sunday at St. Andrews.
