After a pair of tightly-contested and exhilarating semifinal games, TCU (13-1) and Georgia (14-0) emerged victorious and will meet in the CFP National Championship on Monday night.

TCU led Michigan early in the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl, jumping to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter before entering halftime ahead 21-6. They converted 8 of 16 third downs while Michigan converted only 3 of 13, and their defense scored a pair of touchdowns via interception returns.

Emari Demercado racked up 150 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries, including consecutive carries in the third quarter that accounted for 77 yards of a 78-yard scoring drive. Quentin Johnson nabbed a 76-yard touchdown catch for the Horned Frogs’ last touchdown in the fourth quarter, and finished the game with 163 yards on six catches overall.

Georgia, on the other hand, fell into a hole in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl before outscoring Ohio State 18-3 in the fourth quarter to secure a 42-41 victory – which, even then, came only after the Buckeyes missed a 50-yard field goal at the end of regulation.

Stetson Bennett completed 23 of 34 passes for 398 yards and three touchdowns, including a 76-yard touchdown pass to Arian Smith on the first play of a critical fourth-quarter drive. The offense went 72 yards for a touchdown on their ensuing drive to take the lead.

TCU has a 10-3-1 record ATS and hasn’t faced a spread this heavily against them all season. Georgia is 7-7 ATS this season and has only covered in one of their last four games.
