England vs Cameroon June 23 Preview

WWC 2019. England and the Cameroon will meet for the first time at the Women’s World Cup on Sunday as both sides look to book a place in the quarter finals.

The English came through the pre-tournament group of death with ease, becoming only the second English international outfit to win all of their group stages. The last time a Three Lions outfit achieved the feat was at the 1982 World Cup, but the Lionesses will be looking to avoid the disappointment of the second round exit their male counterparts suffered in Spain.

Cameroon, meanwhile, were lucky to get out of their group, snatching a late winner against New Zealand who seemed the more deserving side throughout the group stages of the third place spot. The African side have never been past the Round of 16 before and given their form in the group stages seem unlikely to be making history against England, who are looking to book their fourth consecutive quarter final on Sunday.
