Alex Perez Beats Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 255

The UFC flyweight championship has been held by only three people after inaugural titleholder Demetrious Johnson retained it for more than 2,100 days, but change has been more forthcoming since he lost the crown in 2018.

UFC 255 Prediction

Deiveson Figueiredo (19-1) is the incumbent champion and will defend his crown for the first time at UFC 255 on November 21, with Alex Perez (24-5) stepping in as replacement for initial challenger Cody Garbrandt. William Hill already have odds available for the event in Las Vegas, and we see potential value in Perez’s +220 billing as the underdog.

The 28-year-old is a well-rounded asset who offers a more balanced threat than Garbrandt might have, and it would be unwise for Figueiredo to underestimate a foe who’s finished five of his eight UFC opponents, including a TKO win over Jussier Formiga, the only fighter to beat “Daico.”
