NFL Week 5 Betting and PickStar Recap

Week 5 was filled with some easy-to-predict outcomes, as well as some surprises. It started with the Rams, who were favored, winning and covering on Thursday night against the Seahawks.

We also had a game in London between the Jets and Falcons. Could’ve been two better teams, but it ended up being a solid game.

It ended on Monday night with an exciting overtime matchup between the Colts and Ravens!

PickStar Challenge Correct Predictions

Our PickStar Challenge features six questions every week. Those who get them all right get to split the $1,000 prize. This week, we had multiple entries that only missed one question! So, unfortunately, there were no winners.

Let’s go over the correct predictions.

Q1: Who will win the New York Jets @ Atlanta Falcons matchup? (Falcons)

The game in London ended up being a good one. The Falcons came in as slight favorites and covered. Matt Ryan threw for over 300 yards and two touchdowns.

Q2: Sam Darnold will rush for a touchdown against the Eagles. (False)

Darnold has been rushing for more touchdowns than many would have expected up to this point. They ended up losing to the Eagles and he did not record a rushing TD.

Q3: Who will win the Cleveland Browns @ Los Angeles Chargers matchup? (Chargers)

This game was incredible. Maybe the game of the weekend. Eighty-nine points were scored, and the Chargers squeaked it out. Los Angeles is now among the best teams in the league.

Q4:  Will the Arizona Cardinals score over or under 26.5 points against the 49ers? (Under)

If you told me that the Cardinals scored under 36.5, I would think they might have lost. But 17 points was enough to beat the 49ers.

Q5: Buffalo Bills @ Kansas City Chiefs – over or under 56.5 total points. (Over)

It hit the over, but Kansas City didn’t do their part, only scoring 20 points. It was the Bills that had an incredible game, scoring 38 points. Josh Allen had 315 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Q6: Which player will have the most rushing yards in the Indianapolis Colts @ Baltimore Ravens game? (Lamar Jackson)

This game ended up going into overtime, thanks to a blocked field goal and a miss by Rodrigo Blankenship. Lamar Jackson ended up being the leading rusher in the game, but only had 62 yards on the ground.

Looking Ahead to Week 6

The Cardinals are traveling to Cleveland to take on the Browns. It seems that the Browns have played most of the top teams in the league!
