2020 Formula 1 Predictions: Lewis Hamilton On Brink of More Motorsport History at Bahrain GP
Lewis Hamilton has soared to new heights during a prolific 2020 Formula 1 season, but the newly crowned world champion can clinch even more accolades with victory at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
The F1 season picks back up on Sunday following a two-week break, with Hamilton having sealed a joint-record seventh F1 title at the Turkish Grand Prix earlier in November.
Prediction: Lewis Hamilton to win (-240)
That achievement may be in his rearview mirror, but few will expect the Mercedes superstar to take his foot off the gas in Sakhir. There, Hamilton can win five consecutive Formula 1 races for just the second time in his career, with enough time left this season to set a new career-best streak.
The 35-year-old can also draw level with Sebastian Vettel as the most successful driver at the Bahrain Grand Prix if he takes a fourth career win at this venue. Hamilton edged team-mate Nico Rosberg in a classic clash to seal his first Bahrain title in 2014, going on to add to this particular collection in 2015 and 2019:

Rosberg is a figure of Mercedesโ past, but Hamilton and incumbent race partner Valtteri Bottas lead as usual, according to the sportsbooks. The seven-time champ leads as -240 moneyline favorite at Unibet NJ, while Bottasโthe only other driver this season with multiple race winsโfollows behind at +400. Red Bullโs Max Verstappen is a dark horse at +600 odds, the only other participant priced under +5000, a signal of the gulf in competition between Hamilton and his peers.

Vettel is the only other driver in the field who has previously won at Bahrain, and his +10000 odds may warrant some attention after managing third in Istanbul, his first podium finish of the 2020 season.
However, the more sensible wager would be a larger-size punt on relentless Hamilton, who hasnโt finished outside the top three in Bahrain since 2013, his first season with Mercedes.
The 2020 championship may already be decided in his favor, but the relative lack of competition of late suggests Hamilton will still match his best run of race wins at Sakhir.
