New Mexico Horse Racing Betting
As with many of the western states, horse racing is big in the state of New Mexico.
However, New Mexico law has not yet addressed advance deposit horse racing wagering. It enables telephone and online betting sites, though the Legislature was considering a measure that would direct the state Racing Commission to establish rules for the road.

New Mexico Betting Racetracks
There are three horse racetracks in New Mexico:

- Ruidoso Downs Race Track NM
- Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino NM
The Land of Enchantment allows casino gambling on tribal lands and authorizes betting on horse racing. It also runs a state lottery, and allows qualified organizations to offer bingo and raffles.

Tribal casino operators in New Mexico also have recently added sports betting to the state’s wagering menu following the May 2018 U.S. Supreme Court decision striking down the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act.
