Maine looked set to permit sports betting, but the move was quashed at 4th and one at the goal line. As a result, Maine online gambling and land-based gambling includes the lottery, casino gaming, and daily fantasy sports.

To enter a casino or play poker, you must meet the Maine legal age of gambling, 21-years-old, but you can bet on horse racing, the lottery, and bingo from 18-years-old.

Maine has yet to get approved legal sports betting. The only two legal casinos in Maine are horse racetracks, but they look more like casinos than anything. While standing law doesn’t expressly prohibit online poker or other gambling via the internet, it is assumed that land-based restrictions apply to the online space.
