Women’s World Cup Odds and Betting Lines Go for the Goal with USA Betting Odds Favor

These past weeks United States Women’s National Team opened its 2019 Women’s World Cup title defense with an enormous 13-0 victory over Thailand, as well as a second win against Chile just this Sunday.

USA was listed by a majority of sportsbooks as the favorite at -4500 on the money line, while Chile went off at a whooper +8500. The game was not so shocking and produced no big winning bets. The edge team USA is taking in the Women’s World Cup 2019 is looking to be destined to be a glorious win but may not prove to be big bangs for bettors banks.

An incredible fourth World Cup title could be clinched this summer in France.  This season’s tournament in France is an exciting battle that started out with 24 teams. Eliminations are making the race tighter for the biggest prize in football just one year after the men of France took home the gold.

The United States plays Sweden in Le Havre to wrap up the group stage coming around the corner. It is the first meeting between the two teams since Sweden ousted the American from the quarterfinals at the 2016 Olympics.

USA vs. Sweden June 20 Prediction and Betting Odds

The next up for the USA is a match against Sweden on Thursday, June 20. Before that game comes the buzz around Group C line-up of Brazil vs. Italy this Tuesday at 3 pm EST.  Brazil is priced as a +120 money-line favorite (risk $100 to win $200), while Italy is +200.

Of, course this comes after the American team was highly criticized around the planet for what was perceived by many to be disrespectful conduct when they blasted away Thailand in the prior circuit line-up. After the victory team members were viewed poorly over social media for bad sportsmanship for their boisterous style of cheering for themselves on the field.

The women of Team USA have bit back against critics around the globe in claiming they did nothing wrong.

During a post-game interview on FOX Sports, veteran player Megan Rapinoe was quoted in the interview saying, ‘If anyone wants to come at our team for not doing the right thing, not playing the right way, not being a good ambassador, they can come at us. It was an explosion of joy…If our crime is joy, then we will take that.”

Rapinoe continued saying players like Samantha Mewis, Rose Lavelle, Mallory Pugh, and Lindsey Horan should be honored for scoring and enjoying their win rather than be blasted for celebrating the goals made over and over in the match.

With hot matches around the corner, betting will be good. If Team USA does win it all expect sportsbooks to evaluate odds and take-ins to see if the team will visit the White House and President Trump. Only time will tell.
