Who was the last winner of horse racing’s Triple Crown?

Justify became just the 13th horse to win the most coveted prize in U.S. horse racing in 2017 by winning the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness Stakes and the Belmont Stakes.
Trained by Bob Baffert and ridden by Mike Smith, both Hall of Famers, the son of Scat Daddy accomplished it in a way that no other horse had – without racing as a 2-year-old.
Unfortunately, the colt suffered a minor injury not long after the Belmont and was retired.
He currently stands at stud at Ashford Stud in Versailles, Kentucky. As of 2019, his “stud fee” – the amount that an owner must pay to breed a mare to him – was $150,000.
