There is some variance in the odds to win the NBA Finals in 2019 from sportsbook to sportsbook, but most bookmakers offer roughly the same chances on major contenders with some possible action- or opinion-based biases built in.
The Golden State Warriors were the consensus -200 favorites to win the NBA Finals in 2019 as of March 9.
The Warriors were followed by a pair of Eastern Conference teams – Toronto and Milwaukee – as the other top contenders in the league, as both teams are listed at roughly 10-to-1 or slightly lower.
The Houston Rockets and Philadelphia 76ers were next. Both teams are around 14-1.
The Boston Celtics appear to be a stand-alone sixth choice at around 16-1.
The Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder, both from the Western Conference, seem to have leveled out late at around 25- or 30-to-1.
Other western playoff contenders such as the Portland Trailblazers, Utah Jazz, San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Clippers have much longer odds of 50-to-1 or greater.
The rest of the eastern playoff contenders – including Detroit, Brooklyn, Miami, Orlando and Charlotte – have mostly even longer odds to win the title, ranging between 60-to-1 and 200-to-1.
A couple of other teams remained mathematically alive but have unrealistic chances of winning the NBA championship.
