The Green Mountain State bars most forms of gambling, but it has a state lottery and allows pari-mutuel wagering on horse races along with some forms of charitable gaming, such as lotteries, raffles and other games of chance.

Vermont has staged live horse racing at a couple of venues over the years, but that’s no longer the case.
