After a long pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and then allowing the various leagues around Europe to finish, the UEFA Champions League will return on August 7 and 8 with four Round-of-16 matches.
Four teams, PSG, Atalanta, Leipzig, and Atlético Madrid (who funnily enough are all on one side of the bracket), have already booked their Quarterfinal tickets.
But who will join them?
The first two ties will kick off at the same time, 3 p.m. EDT, Friday: Juventus vs. Lyon, and Manchester City vs. Real Madrid. Saturday will see two more contests at 3 p.m. EDT as well: Barcelona vs. Napoli and Bayern Munich vs. Chelsea. You can bet on UEFA Champions League games at U.S. online sportsbooks with free bets bonuses: bet365 NJ, Pointsbet Indiana, Betrivers Colorado, PA and Illinois.
CBS Sports Network (and Fubo.tv) will show the Manchester City Real Madrid and Barcelona Napoli ties, with the other two on CBS All-Access, TUDNxtra, and Fubo.tv.
Three of the ties are finely poised, with only the Bayern Munich Chelsea contest likely out of reach for the London side. Bayern Munich is up 3-0 on aggregate heading home, and is -225 with bet365 to win this game. The Blues are +550 to win, with the draw +375. Bayern Munich is the co-favorite at +333 (with Manchester City) to win the tournament with Pointsbet promotion.
Here are the odds for the other three ties with bet365:
Juventus (-250) vs. Lyon (+700), draw (+350), Lyon leads 1-0 on aggregate
To qualify: Juventus -110, Lyon -110
Manchester City (-167) vs. Real Madrid (+333), draw (+350), City leads 2-1 on aggregate
To qualify: Manchester City -800, Real Madrid +500
Barcelona (-163) vs. Napoli (+425), draw (+300), tied 1-1 on aggregate
To qualify: Barcelona -250, Napoli +175
UEFA Champions League Predictions
Juventus to qualify at -110 is a solid bet, and probably the better one since the money line is so high.
Manchester City will face a Real Madrid side that will be without Sergio Ramos through suspension, and that could play a massive role. I like Manchester City on the -0.75 line at -123.
Barcelona is -119 on the -0.75 Asian handicap line to win, and that looks good as well.
