The owners of both Connecticut’s existing casinos teamed up with a proposal for a radical new joint venture that has recently found approval from the federal government. The Mohegan and Mashantucket Pequot Tribe have formed the MMCT venture to build a new casino off tribal lands in the northern city of East Windsor.
This project is designed as a rival casino to the closely located MGM Springfield, just over the border in Massachusetts. Construction on the ambitious $300 million venue had begun at the time of writing, so watch this space for news on Connecticut’s latest exciting casino.
