NFL Week 12 Predictions: In-Form Indianapolis Colts Trump Titans to Take Control in AFC South
The top two teams of the AFC South go head-to-head in Week 12 when the Indianapolis Colts host the Tennessee Titans seeking what could be the decisive difference in pursuit of first place.
Both teams boast 7-3 records travelling to Lucas Oil Stadium in Indiana, and Sunday’s victor will be seen as the favorite to go on and automatically progress to the playoffs.
This will be the second time these teams have clashed in 17 days, and the Colts are out to complete a division double after excelling to a 34-17 win at Nissan Stadium on November 12. Betrivers is backing Indianapolis to emerge on top once more as they head in -167 moneyline favorites, with the Titans tipped to lose just their second road game this season as +148 underdogs.
The Colts have swept Tennessee back-to-back in eight of the past 11 seasons (since 2009), suggesting it’s well within their reach to hold them off again on home soil. Indianapolis have won 21 of their previous 27 encounters with the Titans since 2007, though three of those have come in the past seven matchups between the pair.

This fixture promises to be a test of character for both teams; the Titans boast one of the best attacks in the NFL this season, but the elite defense under Frank Reich’s command came out on top when these teams last met.
Philip Rivers is enjoying a productive debut season quarterbacking for the Colts, though that stellar defense along with the rushing corps has been a major driving force behind recent successes:
#Colts WRs have 1 receiving touchdown since Week 8 — tied for second-fewest in NFL. The #Titans have allowed just 1 receiving touchdown to WRs since Week 8 — tied for second-fewest in NFL. via @IE_NFL— Paul Kuharsky (@PaulKuharskyNFL) November 25, 2020
Four of the last five matchups between these AFC South rivals has yielded 48 points or more, but only one of those games transcended the 50-point barrier. A Colts win with under 51.5 points scored returns +200 odds with Betrivers IN, or +275 if we also back the hosts to beat a three-point handicap in the process.
Caging Derrick Henry will be considered key for the home side after the Titans running back mauled his way to 103 yards in Week 10. The Colts have allowed the third-fewest rushing yards in the NFL this season (892), while only three teams have conceded fewer passing yards (2,089).
Mike Vrabel’s Tennessee started this season so strongly but have waned in their efforts of late; the Titans looked destined for the playoffs after a 5-0 start, but a 2-3 run in their last five outings has killed much of that early momentum.
Indianapolis’ form has moved in the opposite direction after losing only one of their last five, and Reich will be favored to get a much-needed win in the battle for AFC South supremacy.
