Author: Erik Gibbs | Publish Date: November 28, 2023 | Last Updated: November 28, 2023

BallyBet launched in the Empire State in July 2022, six months after the online sports betting market debuted. The platform struggled in the 12 months leading up to its decision to suspend operations in June 2023, primarily to make improvements in its sportsbook’s operating platform.

It’s return marks a welcome addition to the New York betting apps landscape.

BallyBet is Back in NY

BallyBet has relaunched in New York after rebuilding its interface from the ground up behind entering its exclusive multi-year agreements with Kambi Group and White Hat Gaming, which will power and support the sports betting platform. Kambi will support the improvement and expansion of retail sportsbooks, while White Hat Gaming will provide its player account management (PAM) platform.

The New York State Gaming Commission shows that Bally’s was consistently at the bottom in sports betting revenue before the relaunch. The company plans to have more success using the new platform as it continues to roll out in additional US markets. BallyBet also operates in Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Ohio and Virginia.

BallyBet NY Promotions

BallyBet returns to the betting market with one of the more generous New York sportsbook promos for new customers of $200 in bonus bets when they make their first wager of at least $50 on any sports event with minimum odds of -200.

Players will receive four bonus bets of $50 each, which will be credited to their account within 24 hours of the bet being graded as a win or loss.

Besides the welcome promotion offered at BallyBet, it provides existing players various weekly promotions, such as the Happy Hour special on Monday and Thursday that gives players 5% reduced juice on all NBA bets placed from noon or 1 PM, respectively, until the game tips off.

Other NY Sportsbooks to Consider

Each online sportsbook in New York has pros and cons, but only a few attract the majority of bettors every month. Sportsbooks in the state have surpassed $1 billion in handle in all but one month in 2023, with four sportsbooks currently the most popular in the market.

FanDuel Sportsbook is the top provider in the state and is known for its superior live-betting platform and live streaming of select sporting events. It also offers customers generous bonuses and an extensive selection of betting markets.

DraftKings is the second-most popular online sportsbook and offers users a broad betting market and many ongoing promotions for existing customers. It’s also popular for bettors who enjoy prop bets, offering a wide selection of wagers on all major sports markets.

Caesars Sportsbook is known for offering some of the most competitive odds of any online provider but is most famous for its Caesars Rewards program, where online players earn the same exciting rewards as patrons of its retail casinos and sportsbooks.

BetMGM Sportsbook is owned and operated by MGM Resorts International, one of the most prominent names in hospitality and entertainment worldwide. Its comprehensive collection of sports markets and intuitive betting platform make it one of the top choices for sports bettors throughout New York.
