Golden State Warriors vs. Toronto Raptors May 29 Preview
Steph Curry has heard it for the better part of five years now.
Curry has won everything there is to win as a professional basketball player, and set a number of records along the way. He has three NBA titles, two regular season MVP awards, and a list of other accomplishments that would make many a player jealous.
But there is one thing he does not have that his critics have never let him live down: a Finals MVP.
Four years ago, as this group of Warriors won their first title, Andre Iguodala took home the award. The last two seasons, it was Kevin Durant. But now, with Durant most likely out for at least game one Thursday night, it may be Curry’s time to shine on the big stage.
The guard is favored to bring home the MVP award at -154 on the Fan Duel site, with other books offering odds around that number. 888 Sport has Curry favored at -136, while Caesars has the number at -125.
But there are some other players that could steal the spotlight, and the award, most notably Raptors’ forward Kawhi Leonard at +245.
Curry’s team mates Draymond Green (+700) and Klay Thompson (+1600) are worth a look at as well.
