Barcelona and Real Madrid return to action this weekend after more than three months out due to the coronavirus, with both of Spain’s biggest outfits expecting a victorious return.

Odds & Betting Predictions

  • Mallorca vs. Barcelona – Barcelona to win by over 1.5 goals, over 0.5 first-half goals, via William Hill NJ sportsbook
  • Real Madrid vs. Eibar – Real Madrid to score over 1.5 second-half goals via SugarHouse NJ

Sevilla beat Real Betis 2-0 on Thursday when La Liga staged its first game back following the pandemic, with Barcelona set to make their comebacks on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

League leaders Barca make the trip to Mallorca hoping to stretch their two-point cushion at the top, while Real are targeting a return to winning ways after they lost 2-1 at Betis before football was suspended.

The Blaugrana hold little value at odds of -345 (1.29) to win on the moneyline, but Unibet NJ has a host of markets that should prove more appetising for punters in New Jersey. Quique Setien’s side will be out to make a snappy start after so long away, with a price of +112 (2.12) for there to be Over 1.5 total goals in the first half, or +380 (4.80) for there to be Over 2.5 goals in the opening 45 minutes.

Barcelona also look appealing at +170 (2.70) to win both halves at the Iberostar Stadium. The Catalan giants smashed Mallorca 5-2 when they met at the Camp Nou in December, though that included a 1-1 draw in the second period after Barca led 4-1 at the break.

Real Madrid are even bigger favorites at -400 (1.25) to beat Eibar with Unibet NJ, and the best defensive team in La Liga are +104 (2.04) picks to win to nil. No team has conceded fewer goals than Real in Spain’s top flight this term (19), leaking only nine of those at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Punters expecting an upset in the capital can back Eibar at +340 (4.40) to win either half away from home, while the Basque visitors are at +205 (3.05) to have Over 4.5 corners (five or more).

Captain Sergio Ramos is Real’s second-highest scorer this season with five league goals. He’s listed at +295 (3.95) to score anytime, or +950 (10.50) to be first on the sheet.

Lionel Messi leads La Liga in goals (19) and assists (12) this season, and the Argentinian hopes to pick up where he left off after bagging five in his last three league appearances.

Odds of +750 (8.50) are available for Messi to score the first and last goal against Mallorca with bet365 NJ, or +290 (3.90) for Barcelona to win with their maestro netting at least twice. Check all free bets promotions for NJ, CO, IN and PA.
