Odds: Kevin Holland (-240) vs. Darren Stewart (+188)
Picks & Prediciton
A fight that promises to be one of the most exciting on Saturday’s card despite not quite reaching main-event status will pit middleweights Kevin Holland and Darren Stewart against one another.
Holland, 27, has carved out a reputation as one of the most exciting fighters in the promotion, while British underdog Stewart has also won fans over with his no-holds-barred approach in the octagon.
Stewart went without a win in his first four UFC fixtures (one no-contest) but has since won five of his last seven, including a guillotine-choke win against Maki Pitolo just in August. That was the first submission win of Stewart’s career, but he very much remains known for his knockout potential considering he’s clinched seven of his 12 professional wins via KO or TKO.
There is a temptation to piece Stewart as part of a parlay at odds of +188 with Sugarhouse, but a seven-inch reach advantage for Holland make the -240 favorite too imposing to ignore.
London native Stewart has yet to be knocked out in 17 pro fights, but Holland looks the more technically balanced combatant and should be the pick to take a result via the scorecards.
Prediction: Holland via decision
Odds via Sugarhouse.
